			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>MMBL Cyberskills (Pvt) Ltd, the master franchisee for NIIT in Sri Lanka, has a proposal to take care off the training for the Non IT Graduates (even the IT graduates can participate) in Sri Lanka through a program called Conversion + Program.</p>
<p><span id="more-21"></span></p>
<p>Applicants will be graduates or even undergraduates of final year in any discipline as follow;</p>
<ol>
<li>Applied Sciences</li>
<li>Management Studies</li>
<li>Arts</li>
<li>Agriculture</li>
</ol>
<p>Software Export Association (SEA) will give scholarships &amp; jobs for top scorers of the placement test &amp; the balance will be directed to the interviews with leading companies in the industry after completion of the program.<br />
Anyhow, <strong>if a participant does not have a degree</strong>, he/she can also apply for this &amp; get an industry demandable professional qualification which helps him/her to further development of his/her career.<br />
This particular curriculum is designed as per the current market demand of the IT industry &amp; certificates will be approved by<!--more--> SEA &amp; NIIT India. This is the first time in Sri Lanka, launching a program like this &amp; University Grant Commission &amp; Ministry of Higher Education are supporting for the same.<br />

Since then the company had diversified  its portfolio of offerings in to many other areas training such as BPO, English Language, Soft Skills, CRM, Business Administration etc. The company is also the licensee in Sri Lanka  for  Australasian  Education  &amp;  Training  Services  (AETS)  and  the  Australian Center for Languages (ACL) through which a wide range of internationally accredited training products are offered.</p>
<p>Cyberskills is headquartered in Colombo and currently operates 13 branches in Sri Lanka which includes the North and East. <p>NIIT, leading Global Talent Development Corporation and Asia’s largest trainer has announced that it will offer B.Sc. (Hons) Computing and its Practice top up degree program of the prestigious Open University of UK, to its DNIIT (Hons) students in Sri Lanka. Students who have successfully completed 2 ½ years of DNIIT (Hons), can now have opportunity to join the OU degree program.<span id="more-11"></span></p>
<p>NIIT has an academic alliance with the world’s leading university, The Open University (OU) of UK, to offer its degree program to students of its 2 1/2 year IT career program</p>
<p>Students will have the convenience of gaining a degree from the prestigious UK University, while studying at their NIIT centre in Sri Lanka. Students will be taught by expert Faculties who have received special training on OU curriculum as well as the industry.</p>
<p>NIIT students pursuing the University’s degree program will be registered, examined and certified by the Open University. The first batch of The Open University, UK started on 9<sup>th</sup> February’08 at NIIT, Union Place,  Colombo.</p>

<p>The event was attended by senior persons from NIIT’s Corporate Office in India, MMBL group, Capitol Maharajah Group, ICTA and Software Industry.
